Review Overview

As the concern for men with low testosterone grows worldwide, so too do the products to treat it. One of the most effective means against this epidemic of “low t” being the natural testosterone booster.

Some of these products come in the form of bodybuilding supplements which come close to hitting the mark but usually require quite an active lifestyle to really bring in the benefits of the product. Whereas others are aimed directly at the older man suffering from the symptoms of Low T.

Nugenix Natural Testosterone Booster is one of those products.

We weren’t really sure about the bluntness of the name, however that’s really not what’s important… And unfortunately the reviews have been mixed, tending towards negative. So we have no choice but to review our findings and let other men in our position know if it’s really worth the money.

What does Nugenix Natural Testosterone Booster do?nugenix

Considering how we structure these reviews that question comes across as rather stupid now. As the answer is: Boost testosterone.

However, what we really like to do is lift the features from where the product is being advertised and see if they really life up to what they’ve been described as.

So, verbatim, from the Amazon.com link we have information that Nugenix:

  • Addresses the biological fact that by age thirty, most men will begin experiencing a gradual reduction in testosterone levels each passing year
  • Helps restore testosterone levels within the body thanks to a proprietary blend comprised of Testofen, L-Citrulline Malate and Tribulus terrestris
  • Testosterone plays a pivotal role in sexual performance, increased stamina and overall well-being

That’s a rather meaty description compared to what we usually get from these products, and does sound all fairly good apart from one area in particular:

“Proprietary Blend”

Do they really expect us to believe a proprietary blend is a good thing here? It’s literally the oldest trick in the book to sneak cheaper ingredients into a product en masse without the consumer being any the wiser. It really does make me sick to my stomach.

None the less, we really believed that the other ingredients in this product would be the ‘saving grace’ of Nugenix – they seem to be so knowledgeable about low t in the older man… More on that in the next section.

How does Nugenix Natural Testosterone Booster work?

Okay, I’ve acknowledged there’s a proprietary blend, so I’m not going to say anything until we get down to it on the list. We’re purely going to be examining the ingredients, their effects and whether their proven or not.

Let’s see:

nugenixsupfactsVitamin B6 – We’re off to a good start. B6 is a known suppressor of estrogen due to it’s abilities to work with the C2 pathway which contains estrogren. B6 can actually control the metabolic rate of the estrogen after it binds to receptor and slow it. This decreases it’s gene activity allowing the body’s hormonal balance to be more in favor of testosterone.

Vitamin B12 – Aids T production of testosterone in the body in a very indirect way. B12 helps select more fat to be burnt for energy, as fat contains estrogen, it may lower the count of the female hormone. However it could be argued that some of the reason that B12 was put in here was for the burst of energy it produces, leading the user to think that the pills are having a positive effect on their testosterone levels.

Zinc – Finally, a vital part to the testosterone boosting process. Zinc is a vital ingredient when looking to boost testosterone because it helps with the release of luteinzing hormones in the body which are needed for testosterone. It has also been seen to raise serum testosterone. However I would be a fool to ignore the fact that Nugenix only contains 7% of our required daily intake of zinc, so it really won’t be making the difference here that it claims.

Now I can finally break the silence about the proprietary blend – the following ingredients have no official measurements and have potentially been imbalanced by the manufacturer in their favor to save themselves money.

L-Citrulline Malate – An aminio acid that is turned into L-Arginine in the kidneys, which in turn produces masses of nitric oxide in the body. Nitric oxide can help with blood flow and definitely gives the body a better chance against erectile dysfunction, however it has not been linked to raising testosterone levels.

Testofen (Fenugreek Seed) – This is essentially just a higher class blend of fenugreek, and there’s nothing wrong with that. We like fenugreek. It works mainly with blood sugar to decrease any insulin resistance that may be interfering with testosterone levels and has also been seen to be great at raising libido. However Testofen has reported side effects in the past in inappropriate doses such as diarrhea, bloating, and nasal blockage.

Tribulus – Having been a popular ingredient in the testosterone boosting industry for quite some time, it was rather unfortunate to find out that Tribulus Terrestris has been proven to not contain any testosterone boosting qualities however it has been seen to be good for libido.

Okay, so how do I take it?

Take one serving a day of three capsules on an empty stomach with water. Breakfast time is usually the best time for this.

Is it dangerous, are there side effects?

We personally didn’t go through any side effects. In fact, we didn’t really go through much at all. There was a spike in libido as one of the main thing only a handful of us experienced but on the whole it didn’t really make much of a difference.

We’ve read reviews however that absolutely slate this product saying it caused hair loss, headache and an upset stomach.

It’s really one to watch out for and some of the negative feedback we’ve seen is scathing. We’ve brought you a couple from the Amazon page, apparently Nugenix even dabbled in a little online scamming?

nugenix reviews

We particularly enjoy the term ‘limp johnson’ being peppered in there at the end.

But if you had doubts before about this product, although ours arrived safe and sound, I would steer clear. It seems like it could be trouble.

Is there anything better out there?

But of course! There are whole hosts of wonderful testosterone boosters out there for you to try, all you have to do is click around our website. It won’t be hard to find a product better than this one. In fact, let me make it easier for you with a link below this section to our top choices. Enjoy!

Nugenix Natural Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion

After weighing up all the factors that are involved in Nugenix, the ingredients, the price (which actually is pretty reasonable) and the reputation. We can safely recommend that you don’t buy Nugenix Natural Testosterone Booster.

The ingredients are all over the place with the proprietary blend, and if they’ve been involved in money-grabbing shills before, chances are somewhere they still are.

I’d keep clear of this product and get something you can depend on – inform yourself have a look at our other products and find something that will work for you.
