Review Overview – What does Nutrex Vitrix do?
Nutrex Vitrix calls itself the ‘Alpha Male Formula’ and is sold by a variety of vendors online or offline.
Currently, it sells at the reasonable price of $34.62 on Bodybuilding.com for one month’s supply.
But does it work?
On their website Vitrix seems to think so claiming it helps:
- Sexual health
- Alpha male behavior (?)
- Energy/Stamina
- Natural testosterone levels.
We’re assuming Alpha Male Behavior is marketing talk for ‘improved confidence’ – which makes it exactly the kind of thing we’re looking for.
However, the proof of that will be in the ingredients.
How does Nutrex Vitrix work?
Unfortunately by great use of proprietary blends. More or less all of Vitrix’s ingredient dosages are portrayed as part of a formula – which makes us unable to identify how much of each ingredient went into Vitrix.
This is a huge problem as we can’t recognize the effectiveness of each ingredient – they could have little value whatsoever, while a more ineffective ingredient takes up the majority of the blend.
This is commonplace in supplements that use these blends and a good way for them to save money by flooding these products with the cheap stuff. I’m not going to go into the full details here. But I do a fuller write up over on the best T-boosters page.
Now let’s see those ingredients:
Zinc – A valid ingredient, and a good choice for a testosterone booster. Needed for the process in the brain that releases the luteinizing hormone (which is a precursor to testosterone, growth hormone and follicle stimulating hormones). The only problem in this situation is that 10mg, may not be enough to have a real impact.
Now we explore the proprietary blend, all values from here on in are hidden making it difficult to establish their effectiveness.
L-Arginine – An amino acid that’s great for boosting nitric oxiide levels in the body. Nitric oxide helps with dilation of the blood vessels which greatly improves blood flow. This can be very useful for libidos and arousal. However, a typical dose can be anywhere from 3 – 6g a serving – which is a lot more than the entire serving of this product. I doubt this ingredient will have much effect.
Tribulus Terristris – Possibly one of the most over-hyped testosterone boosting ingredients in the world. Trib had been seen numerous times to fail at boosting testosterone, however, supplement companies continue to use it in their products. The product has been seen to sometimes raise libido, but it is not a solid ingredient by any stretch.
Fenugreek Seed Extract – Fenugreek on the other hand is a remarkable testosterone booster. It has been seen numerous times in studies to raise libido and lower insulin levels. Insulin is an aggressive blocker of testosterone, by taking some of it out of the picture, it allows T-levels to rise at a much faster rate.
Bioperine – Not really to help with testosterone per se. Bioperine increases the body’s bioavailability allowing it to absorb more nutrients at a time. It’s a form of black pepper.
Yohimbine HCl – Known more for it’s benefits with weight loss. Yohimbine does not have any recorded effect on testosterone levels, however it has been seen to help with erectile dysfunction. A typical effective dose of yohimbine is judged at around 0.2mg per kg. However we cannot know if there is enough yohimbine in this product to facilitate this.
Overall, the ingredients in this product are a pure show. A lot of the ingredients are under-dosed, or do not directly reduce testosterone. It’s a real wash on ingredients, however depending on how they’re measured they may be able to have some mild effect on libido.

Okay, so how do I take it?
Vitrix recommends taking 2 servings of 2 capsules a day. One serving in the morning and another in the evening. This is okay as far as servings go but it’s not great.
The best way to dose a testosterone booster is to have somewhere between 3-4 servings a day. By doing this T-levels stay constantly elevated and are given all the support they need to consistently rise.
Is it dangerous, are there side effects?
Potentially. Yohimbine has been seen to cause anxiety, hypertension and gastrointestinal distress. This is only in high doses – but as the ingredients are hidden beneath a proprietary blend, it’s difficult for us to declare this as a safe product.
Is there anything better out there?
Yes. There are quite a lot of products on the market that have been proven to be stronger that Vitrix. Not only will they effectively boost libido, but they will also increase testosterone, mood and strength in general.

Nutrex Vitrix Review Conclusion
On the whole, this product needs a lot of work before it gets to be anywhere near effective for boosting testosterone. The ingredients are the main problem. That proprietary blend is really holding this product back, and gives it an untrustworthy vibe.
Massive revisions need to be made to this product to make it anywhere near acceptable. I suggest taking your money elsewhere.
