Review Overview – What does Raw IGF-1 do?
A recently released testosterone booster from Vigor Labs, Raw IGF-1 is a testosterone booster aimed at bodybuilders.
But does it actually work?
In their marketing Vigor Labs claims Raw IGF-1:
- Boosts tesotsterone
- Raises growth hormone
- Builds muscle
This is typical of a bodybuilding T-Booster write up, but whether this supplement will actually help you or not is in the ingredients and the servings.
We check it out for ourselves and we’re surprised by what we saw (and not in a good way).
How does Raw IGF-1 work?
The servings for Raw IGF-1 are rather poor. It recommends taking 1 capsule of the product daily, however, to effectively boost your testosterone, this is nowhere near enough. The 24 hour period between servings may allow T-levels to sink back down to their lower baseline.
Ideally, your chosen testosterone booster should have around 3 – 4 servings per day. This keeps your testosterone levels regularly topped up and your overall hormonal levels in check.
The ingredients were no better. All wrapped in one big proprietary blend, it’s impossible to tell how much of each ingredient is being used in this supplement.
Here’s your run-through of them:
Longjack
Also known as Eurycoma Longifolia. This nutrient is does not help boost testosterone, but it has been seen in studies to work as a pro-erectile and boost libido.
Tribulus Terrestris
Originally thought to be an effective testosterone booster, unfortunately the evidence has been stacked against it. Trib will not boost your T-levels, however there are some studies that may help promote libido.
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate
Although it doesn’t help with testosterone levels. L-Carnitine has been proven to promote energy levels, focus and metabolism. Which may help if you’re exercising.
Colostrum
Also known as ‘First Milk’ a secretion by cows. It has a similar effect to whey protein, but again, only really applies to those who are weight lifting.
DIM
This is a molecule that is found often in green vegetables like broccoli. Unfortunately it is no way boosts testosterone, however, it may show promise as an estrogen blocker/aromatase inhibitor.
Deer Antler Velvet
Unfortunately, like Tribulus, this is another nutrient that was originally thought to boost testosterone. However, after countless studies, no evidence has come to life of this strange nutrient boosting testosterone levels.
Omega 3 Complex
Your standard fish oil supplement. This helps with joint aches and general health. It won’t help boost your testosterone.
Bioperine
Also known as black pepper. This doesn’t help boost testosterone, but helps with the overall absorption of the supplement in the body.

As you can see, despite being labelled as a testosterone booster, there isn’t actually a lot of nutrients in this product that will help with production of the male hormone.

Vigor Labs Raw IGF-1 Review Conclusion
After looking closely Raw IGF-1, it’s clear that Vigor Labs did very little research when putting together this supplement.
None of the ingredients used boost testosterone or growth hormone in any way whatsoever, the only benefit it does offer is a little boost in libido and some estrogen blocking.
The servings aren’t great either. With one dose a day your body is left open for a 24-hour period where it can dip right back down to lower low t-levels.
If you’re considering this product as testosterone booster, we suggest looking elsewhere. You can see our top recommendations in the box below, or in the link in the section above.
