In this review, we’ve looked closely at the servings, side effects and overall effectiveness of this product to see how well it’ll perform for your testosterone levels.

How are the servings?


With one serving a day, it’s going to be a slow process for this to raise your testosterone levels. As there’s a 24 hour gap between each serving, your T levels may return back to their baseline before the next dose.

For the best results, your T-levels need constant top-ups – ideally 3 – 4 servings a day.

What about the ingredients in MD Science’s MAX Testosterone?

They need improving.

There are two problems here – the first is that the majority of the product is in a proprietary blend, this means we don’t know how much of each ingredient we’re getting or how effective it will be.

Secondly, there are only 2 good ingredients here – the rest don’t seem to have any lasting (or proven) effects.

One of the better minerals for boosting free testosterone by inhibiting Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG).

SHBG is a protein in your bloodstream that binds to testosterone and strips it of its anabolic potency. By inhibiting it, more testosterone can flow freely throughout your blood stream.


Zinc on the other hand is better for overall testosterone production.

Used by your brain for several chemical reactions, zinc is used to create Luteinzing Hormone (LH) the precursor to both testosterone and growth hormone.


An antioxidant that has no real effect on testosterone levels.

Avena Sativa

Essentially oat extract, Avena Sativa was once thought to help with testosterone production – however it’s not the best option.

Despite what the marketing behind Avena states, its not that reliable. There are no reliable studies that vouch for its effectiveness.

Tribulus Terrestris

Tribuluis unfortunately falls into a similar category.

Originally thought to boost testosterone, however this turned out to not be the case. There are studies that prove it effectively boosts T.


This is another unreliable addition.

Although L-Arginine is linked to increasing nitric oxide (which improves overall blood flow) it has not bee seen to work with oral supplementation – it is broken down to quickly to be absorbed. It’s a bad choice here.

Eurycoma Longifolia (LongJack)

Longjack follows a similar theme to Tribulus Terrestris – once thought to boost testosterone, but in actuality didn’t do anything for the male hormone. However, Longjack may also have some mild effect on libido.

Ginkgo Biloba

A herb that doesn’t affect testosterone but may help you focus.

Ginkgo Biloba has been linked to having several cognitive benefits.

Horny Goat Weed

Another ineffective T-booster.

Horny Goat Weed was once thought to boost testosterone – but fell short of the mark in countless studies. It may have some mild effect on libido.

Cnidium Monnier

A pro-erectile herb with limited research.

The effects of this nutrient working are still unreliable, with a lot more studies needed to know the extent of its ability.


Nutrient Overview:

On the whole there’s only 2 good ingredients here – the magnesium and the zinc. The rest are either outdated, ineffective ingredients, or lacking core research.

You’ve also got to remember that it makes up part of proprietary blend – meaning we don’t know how much of each ingredient we’re getting, or how effective it will be overall.

There’s a lot of core T-boosting nutrients missing from MD Science’s MAX Testosterone – it’s not your best option.

If you’re thinking about MAX Testosterone, there are several things you need to take into account from this review:

  • Poor Servings – There’s only one a day, this means you’ll have slower progress with raising T (you need constant top-ups).
  • Ineffective Ingredients – Many of the nutrients used lack the proper clinical backing.
