Review Overview
As the market grows for testosterone boosters, so too do the suppliers, and one who has just recently gotten begun trading them is LA Muscle, a British company that ships internationally.
With a name like ‘Male Boost’ it’s pretty clear what LA Muscle’s intentions are with this product. When asked by a reader if we could check out this product it was a very interesting first impression.
First, this is a site for bodybuilding, or for gentlemen with a very active lifestyle.
Second… You can almost tell this is their first time doing this sort of product.
What does Male Boost do?
That’s the thing. Usually when we see products like this, we see buzzwords and phrases like “raises free testosterone” or “aromatase inhibitor” (suppresses estrogen production) but here, LA Fitness have put a rather conservative pair of bullet points to describe their product. Namely:
- Natural Male Hormone Booster
- Enhances Confidence and Well-Being
For those that are unaccustomed to testosterone boosters, this could be pass as a description. To those who are more informed, this looks as if the person marketing this had no real idea of what the product does.
If anything that shows lack of research by their marketing department. We just hoped this lack of research didn’t stem back to the ingredients…
How does Male Boost work?
There’s at least one positive in this scenario, Male Boost doesn’t use any proprietary blends. You know exactly what you’re getting with this product and this gives us a lot to work with. Well done LA Muscle.
If you’re unsure of what a proprietary blend is, I’ve done a quick write up on our Top Testosterone Booster page. It should give you a pretty good flavor of what I’m talking about. Essentially it means all the dosages for the ingredients are on show, and haven’t been hidden under a bigger ‘special formula’.
Now that we’ve cleared that up, let’s get on with the show:
Asian Red Ginseng – To be fair, this is a really good ingredient. When ingested the Ginseng helps raise Nitric Oxide levels in the body, this greatly helps blood flow and can help combat erectile dysfunction. It also helps with decreasing glucose levels which can lower insulin resistance, which allows for more testosterone, DHT and luteinzing hormones to be produced.
Acetyl-L-Carnitine – This has nothing to do with testosterone. Acety-L-Carnitine is an amino acid that helps with fat loss, it does this by transporting long chain fatty acids to oxidation for fuel. This increases energy levels – which could make someone who doesn’t know what ALC is with low testosterone believe the pills are having more effect than they are.
Maca Root Powder – This does not raise testosterone, but it does help raise libido. This another member of the ginseng family from Peru. A man looking to raise his T levels has nothing to gain with this ingredient.
Vitamin E – Weirdly, Vitamin E’s effects of testosterone has been chancy, in the study “Effects of long-term tocopherol supplementation on serum hormones in older men” (The Prostate, Jan 2001, 46(1):33–38) It was seen to decrease both testosterone and estrogen significantly. However in a study that used it in large amounts, it was seen to raise testosterone. A lot more than 30mg was used there though. Here we just don’t supplement Vitamin E for this reason.
Zinc – Male Boost doesn’t use as much as most other Test Boosters use Zinc, but it is still a valid ingredient to raise T levels. It is needed to release luteinizing hormones in the body which in turn make the body produce more testosterone. This product could of done with more of it in here.
It’s unfortunate, there are a couple of good ingredients in here. The guys at LA Muscle just didn’t broaden their horizons enough to include more ingredients. Something like an aromatase inhibitor like Luteolin or Vitmain B6 would’ve really helped this product on it’s way.

Okay, so how do I take it?
Male Boost has a pretty good dosage regime actually. A serving is 1-2 capsules 3 times a day, and as this product contains 90 capsules, we suggest sticking to 1 per serving to really make it last the month.
Taking this product throughout the day is great for keeping T levels consistently elevated and allows for constant development.
That said, we don’t know how far you’ll get with those ingredients.
Is it dangerous, are there side effects?
Male Boost uses all natural ingredients, you’ll be absolutely fine. Although we think the only real experience you’ll get out of this product is in your trousers rather than your T levels. But if that’s you’re bag, go for it… however, we’d recommend viagra.
Is there anything better out there?
If you’re just looking to raise your libido, there are a good T boosters out there that can do that and more, why enjoy only a piece of the high test lifestyle when you can have all of it?
This is definitely not one worth trying.

Male Boost Review Conclusion
To wrap things up I would simply say not to bother with this product. It’s good for libido but not much else. It’s clear that this is the company’s first time dealing with this kind of issue and they don’t appear to be cut out for it.
Maybe in time after more research and ingredient analysis. Until then I cannot recommend this product.
